Darkness. Cold, grimy walls. Green slime oozing over openings in the rotted wood. The house was haunted.
„Can’t they ever just be pretty mansions filled with bunnies – and I’m not talking Leporidae’s.“
That brought Sam up short. The younger man shone his flashlight on Dean, causing the older brother to bring his hand up in protection against the harsh attack on his retinas.
„Dude! The ****?“ Dean demanded.
Sam lowered the light. „Sorry, but where did you learn a word like ‚Leporidae‘?“
Dean muttered something unintelligible as he took a few hurried steps further into the house, gun raised. Sam let his eyebrows migrate north at the familiar posture his brother had adopted. Dean was embarrassed.
„Come on, dude. You can tell me.“ Sam said, entering the room with a sweep of his gun and light. It was empty. „You actually read a book or something?“
„No! Nothing like that, thank ***.“ Dean replied honestly.
Sam’s brow furrowed. „Then where, Dean?“
„Goo-ule.“ He had folded the word in a forced cough.
Sam hid a grin. „Didn’t quite catch that, Dean.“
The older brother sighed heavily and rolled his eyes. „Google, okay. I was trying to find ‚Bunnies‘ on Google.“
Sam could hear the blush in his brother’s tone. „Dude, you are so damaged.“
